Why We Started

Rocket Sports started in 2016 for one simple reason: things weren’t getting done on time. As a senior at Gaithersburg High School, our founder, Stephen noticed the same problem repeatedly. The team gear they ordered at the start of the season would show up months later (sometimes not until the end-of-season banquet). That was frustrating, so Rocket Sports was built around lightning-fast turnaround and dependable service. Today, our average turnaround time is just 2 weeks.

Built for Coaches & Organizers

After high school, Stephen took a Boys Lacrosse coaching job at Jackson-Reed High School (formerly Woodrow Wilson in DC) and saw the process from the other side. Ordering gear and running a team store was way more work than it should have been. He was tracking down kids order forms, answering parent's questions, coordinating delivery, and dealing with issues along the way.

He wanted it to be simple as a coach too: approve the store, share the link, and hand out the gear while the apparel company handles everything else. That’s exactly what Rocket Sports does.

Who We Work With

We work with athletic teams, schools, restaurants, small businesses, and local organizations that need custom apparel without the headaches. We can be as full-service as you want: we design logos, choose the right apparel, set up an online store, manage customer service, package individual orders for easy distribution, and deliver on time. If you already have a logo and prefer to stay hands-on, that’s great too — we’ll match your workflow.

Small Business Service You Can Count On

Rocket Sports is a small business, and we take pride in providing a level of service you won’t get from big national shops. When a winter fundraiser shipment wasn’t going to arrive before Christmas because of USPS delays, we personally hand-delivered every order. And, when shipments were delayed because the Ever Given got stuck in the Suez Canal, we still met our delivery date by sourcing items locally from multiple retailers.
